About Dallas

Dallas Travers, international award–winning author and groundbreaking career coach for actors, is one of the entertainment industry’s most impactful voices. Her book, “The Tao of Show Business: How to Pursue Your Dream Without Losing Your Mind,” was a finalist for a 2009 National Indie Excellence Book Award. That year “The Tao” also won first prize in the “How To” category at the London and Hollywood Book Festivals and was a runner-up in the “Wild Card” category at the New York Book Festival.

Since August 2001, Travers has helped thousands of actors to increase their auditions, produce their own projects, secure representation, and book roles in theater, film, and television. Her cutting-edge business strategies empower actors to transform their approach to the business.

With a master-level certification from the Institute for Professional Empowerment Coaching, Travers mindfully takes into account the psychological needs of the actor. Her unsurpassed coaching skills in conjunction with her business expertise enable her to address the core issues many actors face in regard to business and career management.

She teaches and motivates actors across the globe through live workshops, personal coaching, and her online coaching program, The Thriving Artist Circle. Currently 300 members strong, The Thriving Artist Circle provides unmatched resources, tools, and education to its members through group coaching calls, monthly assignments, and guest-expert tele-classes.

In addition to her coaching endeavors, Travers publishes a biweekly e-magazine, “The Actor’s Advocate,” with a readership of more than 7,500. She has been a featured guest expert on the Web series “Actors E Chat,” as well as on multiple radio outlets, including Odyssey Radio, “Dare to Dream,” ArtistFirst Radio, and SmartWomen Radio. Travers’ work has been featured in Back Stage and Personal Excellence magazine. Travers is also a contributing columnist for ActorRated, Daily Actor, Brains of Minerva, and Now Casting. www.dallastravers.com.
